In 2012, I qualified for the CrossFit Games however unbeknownst to me I was 5-weeks pregnant at the time. When the Games finally came around that year, many were left wondering what the WD against my name was for.
With the surprise passenger onboard and close to 13 weeks by the time the Games started, I made the decision to withdraw from the competition and take a year off to welcome my new baby daughter into the world.
I believe I may have surprised a few people by qualifying in 1st Place at the 2014 CrossFit Games Australian Regionals and finally making an appearance at the Crossfit Games.
Following this, and after a challenging year with some off the field set-backs, I returned in 2015 for what would be my final year of competition as an Individual Athlete, qualifying this time in 4th place to compete at the CrossFit Games.
Under difficult circumstances, I was able to finish my final Games appearance taking out the 2015 (unofficial) title of “World’s Fittest Mother”.
With such a rapid expansion in the growth and popularity of the “Sport of Fitness” I now hope to focus my energy on providing expert Coaching, programming and insight into the fitness world.
In 2016 I commenced a Bachelor of Science in Sport & Health Science with the aim to engage with higher level Athletes and Coaches to provide solutions to training & programming performance gaps.
I look forward to helping you on your journey towards improving your fitness, understanding yourself better and ultimately doing your best at the Crossfit Open.
I really hope you enjoy my posts, and if there are any particular topics you wish for me to discuss; please send me an email via the contact page with your suggestions for consideration.
All the best in training!
